The Waldschänke Geitelde is an absolute insider tip! In beautiful Geitelde, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the city, there is very, very good food! The portions are large and fill you up. Extra requests, such as replacing the inserts or the like, are usually implemented without any problems. The service is extremely friendly and always has a relaxed, funny saying on their lips. All of this at very good prices, so that the price-performance ratio is more than good! Anyone who has been there will be happy to come back! Absolute recommendation to stop by in this location, the way from the city to the village is definitely worth it!

Delicious cuisine and nice service!

We were here for the first time and really loved it. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and the host was super friendly. The menu was small, but we find that pleasant. You don't have to search forever and there is something for every taste. The food came after a short wait, was very nicely presented and tasted very, very good to us. The portions were large and the price was right. The currant spritzer was also very tasty. We would love to come back and can warmly recommend the Waldschänke.

Come spontaneously at noon today. Best asparagus of the season eaten! First of all there was a delicious creamy asparagus soup which was also very tasty. Overall very satisfied. The service was very polite and pleasantly funny / easygoing. We would love to come back !!!

Just brought a delicious meal to our home. Many thanks to the landlords. We will be happy to return to the out-of-home offer. After the crisis is over, we'll see each other again in the cozy dining room.

02/27/2020 Have returned here again after a very long time. Little has changed. The dining room is clean and the tables were set properly. Despite reserved tables and the small locality, we found a place. The service is polite and attentive without being intrusive. The card is like it has been for a long time. Not too big, but so that everyone can find the right dish. In addition, there are two recommendations that are not on the menu. A little tip: The table with the recommendations is easy to overlook. Maybe you should look for an alternative. First you get a greeting from the kitchen. Baguette slices with a constantly changing dip. We had ordered soups beforehand. Both were tasty. The schnitzel as a main course was juicy and with the side dishes a good portion to fill you up. In terms of price, everything was in line. Spontaneously we chose this place in the evening. The offer was very attractive. The landlord was friendly and the food stood jerkily on the table. Everything fresh and delicious. Although we could not try everything, of course, I believe that behind every dish is quality in the ingredients and in the preparation. Unfortunately, the following day closed company, otherwise we would have eaten here again. We recommend :)
